I think it’s important to remember that the band don’t get consulted on every little thing the management company does – someone at QPrime will have just automatically fired off the emails without even asking if the band thought it was OK. Bands and artists get very little say over what their management companies and record companies do or demand. Yet every article says ‘Metallica did this, Metallica did that’ – actually, no, QPrime did (maybe they should have a disclaimer “views distributed by QPrime management are not necessarily the views of…” LOL)

Making everyone at Q-Prime do 20 pushups each? WTF? FWIW, this band sadly ceased to exist when Cliff Burton was killed.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Maybe Metallica sort of gets it, but only sort of. They have A LOT of damage control to deal with, but it is nice to see a change. It will be interesting to see how fans respond to this announcement.
